Fire spirit (item) detail.png

The fire spirit is an item obtained by clicking on a fire spirit or divine fire spirit NPC that spawns while Firemaking, or from a forge phoenix or divine forge phoenix if an Orthen furnace core is equipped while Firemaking or Smithing.

When a spirit NPC appears, the player can click on it to collect it into your inventory as this item. The item can then be clicked to collect rewards. Fire spirits do not stack in the bank and can be dropped. Fire spirits have a collect all option that allows the player to redeem multiple fire spirits at once. Multiple, different rewards may be acquired from a single spirit. Charms are usually obtained, though numbers and types may vary.

The log type and modifier affects the rewards obtained. The rewards for using higher level logs improve slightly. Instead of a log-based modifier, the fire spirit will have the modifier 'Divine' if collected from a divine fire spirit, 'Phoenix' if collected from a forge phoenix, or 'Divine Phoenix' if collected from a divine forge phoenix. Wearing a Firemaking cape or variant thereof improves the rewards obtained from fire spirits. Being under the effect of a firelighter buff increases rewards by 1.3x; this can be increased to 1.5x by wearing a Brooch of the Gods.

Collecting a fire spirit to the inventory also grants the player 50% more Firemaking experience for the next 1 to 5 logs burned. This XP boost also affects equipment XP.

Obtainable rewards[edit | edit source]

Charms, and clues, dropped by fire spirits are rolled separately to the main reward - it is possible to receive all 4 charm types, a clue scroll, and a main reward from a single spirit.

Update history[edit | edit source]

This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included—see here for how to help out!
  • update 1 April 2019 (Update):
    • An issue causing the host log from a Fire Spirit derived from using Maple logs on a bonfire to read as Acadia logs in the item tooltip has been resolved.
  • patch 25 March 2019 (Update):
    • Any fire spirits gathered will now become an item in your inventory, allowing you to save up an entire inventory and click on one to open them all at once (should the Firelighter buff be active when gathering a fire spirit this will add a 1.3x boost on the fire spirit drop table).
