Faruq chathead.png

Faruq is a merchant in Al Kharid who runs a store, Faruq's Tools for Games. He sells tools useful for playing games within friends chat. These items are also used to help make decisions when in groups. None of the items he sells are available from the Grand Exchange. By going through a conversation a player can actually get a Treasure chest in a free world, even though it appears as a members object. The chest has the drop option but when selected, it prompts for destroy options.

Faruq is available to both free and pay-to-play players. He was also the final person in the "Cryptic Clue Fest" to give you a clue. Faruq is famous for selling the Orb of Oculus and the Voting hat in particular.[1] He is likely a reference to Farouk, the last king of Egypt. This ties in with the rest of Al Kharid's Egyptian theme.
