A bright spring while using a fading memory.
Fading memories are a pocket slot item that could be won from Treasure Hunter from 25 July until 29 July 2014. Members could claim 2 fading memories from the Summer Beach Party's treasure map on 3 September 2016, 18 August 2017 and 17 August 2018. They're also a rare reward from opening divine eggs.
When activated and equipped, fading memories offer several benefits:
- When harvesting from springs, fading memories increase the critical chance by 20%.
- There is a small chance they may spawn a chronicle fragment floating near the player with the text "Your fading memory causes a chronicle/an elder chronicle to escape from the rift!". Each successful harvest will use up one charge.
- When depositing memories, all memories (regular and enriched) converted to experience in the rift give 25% more experience. Each memory converted will use up one charge, enriched will use up two. Memories converted to energy will not use up a charge.
Each fading memory has 200 charges before depleting.
If attempting to activate another fading memory, while having an active one already, it will not be allowed, prompting the message: "You already have an active fading memory", or if the activate memory is in the bank: "You have an active fading memory in your bank."
When using a light creature familiar, fading memories will not increase the base experience received when converting the memories with the familiar.

- When activated and equipped in your pocket slot, a fading memory will extend the duration of wisps, and enriched wisps, when gathering memories making earning Divination XP a much quicker process.
- When you’ve collected as many memories as you can hold and head to the rift to convert them and you’ll find your fading memory will give you an additional 25% XP. Plus, you’ll have an increased chance to spawn chronicles when converting memories.
- The Divine Recall bonuses stack with all existing Divination bonuses - including the diviner’s outfit - and when combining memories with divine energy. Fading memories have 200 charges each, with one used per memory converted and two per enriched memory, but they can be stacked.
