Elite tectonic armour
Elite tectonic armour is tier 92 magic power armour requiring level 92 Defence to wear. It is created from tectonic armour, draconic energies and Praesulic essence (magic). Creating it from scratch requires level 99 Runecrafting to break down Virtus equipment into Praesulic essence.
Elite tectonic armour degrades for 100,000 charges of combat before falling apart and vanishing completely ('degrades to dust'). Once equipped, it instantly becomes untradeable, even if it has not been used in combat. Elite tectonic armour can be repaired by using an Elite tectonic repair patch on it. Using a repair patch on a fully charged armour piece will overcharge it, making it tradable again. When used inside elite dungeons no charges are used.
Retrieving unprotected parts from a gravestone will cause the part to lose 10% of its charges.
Losing a piece of the (augmented) elite tectonic armour by being killed in the Wilderness will result in multiple Draconic energy being dropped relative to charge remaining.
The ranged equivalent is Elite sirenic armour, and the melee equivalent is Trimmed masterwork equipment.

Normal armour[edit | edit source]
Creation[edit | edit source]
Elite tectonic armour is created from tectonic armour pieces and the following:
Draconic energy, a common drop from Black Stone Dragon, a rare drop from Dragonkin Laboratory mini-bosses, and the Rex Matriarchs
Praesulic essence (magic), created by breaking down Virtus equipment at a Dragonkin anvil
Stones of binding, purchased from either Wizards' Guild, Bandit Duty Free or the Grand Exchange
Chaotic remnant, purchased from the Daemonheim rewards trader with
Dungeoneering tokens
You can upgrade tectonic armour that has already been augmented by manually using the draconic energy on the tectonic armour piece.

Augmented armour[edit | edit source]
Creation[edit | edit source]
Augmented elite tectonic armour does not lose its perks when it runs out of charge. In order to create it, players must:
- Buy or craft a new set of Elite Tectonic armour pieces
- Augment the body and legs at an invention workbench with additional materials (listed below)

Repair[edit | edit source]
To repair augmented elite tectonic, you need to use a set of Elite tectonic repair patches and divine charges on the armour. Doing so consumes the patches and retains all perks of the augmented version.

Dyed[edit | edit source]
Creation[edit | edit source]
Elite tectonic armour can be recoloured using dyes from Treasure Trails.
It can also be augmented, either by taking the dyed armour pieces to a workbench with additional materials, or by dyeing augmented armour pieces.

Repair[edit | edit source]
Dyed elite tectonic armour also has 100,000 charges of combat, but degrades to a broken state instead. It can be repaired using elite tectonic repair patches.

Update history[edit | edit source]
- hotfix 6 July 2020 (Update):
- Repairing uncharged augmented T92 equipment with repair patches will now correctly repair them to a charged state the first time.
- update 29 June 2020 (Update):
- Elite tectonic armour can now be repaired with Elite tectonic repair patches.
- Elite tectonic armour now requires Praesulic essence (magic) in order to be created, in addition to the existing materials.
- Elite tectonic armour will now drop the correct amount of draconic energy, relative to charge remaining, when you are killed in the Wilderness.
- A tooltip has been added to the Elite Armours explaining their set effect, which negates degradation in Elite Dungeons.
- Using a repair patch on fully-charged, but previously worn, T92 armour pieces can 'overcharge' them back to a new tradeable state.
- When making T92 armour, the Make-x screen will now default to a quantity of one, to avoid accidentally making too many copies of one equipment piece.
