Elite ranger boots detail.png

Elite ranger boots are tier 82 Ranged equipment that require level 40 Ranged and level 82 Defence to wear. They are created by using one golden thread on a pair of ranger boots; the golden thread will be consumed after a confirmation dialogue. This process is irreversible and the upgraded boots are rendered untradeable. The elite ranger boots share the same model with the standard ranger boots, but receive a subtle golden trim.

Elite ranger boots degrade over 30,000 charges of combat to a broken state. It can be repaired for 120,000 coins at a repair NPC, or at an armour stand in a player-owned house with a cost reduction based upon the player's Smithing level.

If a player dies in the Wilderness with a fully charged set of elite ranger boots, the player who killed them will receive normal (not upgraded) ranger boots and 250,000 coins, the static value of a golden thread.

Recoloured ranger boots cannot be upgraded into elite ranger boots, and elite ranger boots cannot be recoloured.

Combat stats[edit | edit source]

Elite ranger boots exceed the ranged bonus of Pernix boots by 1 and have a slightly higher armour rating due to their higher tier, but they lack the +2 Prayer bonus of Pernix boots.

Repair cost[edit | edit source]

The Elite ranger boots at most, costs 120,000 coins to repair completely. The repair cost is precisely calculated by the degradation percentage (i.e. with 75% charge remaining, a full repair would only cost 30,000 coins). It may be repaired through a variety of methods.

With an NPC[edit source]

These less preferred methods cost more as they do not consider one's Smithing level for a repair discount.

Alternate methods[edit source]

These preferred methods provide a repair cost discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
