Elder sapling detail.png

The elder sapling a sapling grown from an elder seed planted in a plant pot to create a elder seedling, then watered, at level 90 Farming. A player must wait at least one crop cycle in order for an elder seedling to sprout into a sapling in the plant pot.

Planting the sapling in an Elder tree patch will result in the chance of growing an elder tree in the patch. Players can ask the gardener, Sior, for assistance in watching over their Elder tree for a payment of 25 morchella mushrooms - these may be noted.

The player has a chance of getting their elder seed back from the sapling by right-clicking the sapling and selecting "Salvage seed". The chance of getting the seed back is approximately 75% with 99 Farming, though it is unknown if Farming level affects the odds.
