The drygore longsword is a rare drop from the Kalphite King. It requires level 90 Attack to wield and is the strongest longsword in RuneScape outside of Daemonheim. The longsword will degrade after 60,000 charges of combat (but loses 2 per hit, giving a minimum time of 5 hours of combat).

It can be repaired using 10,000 chitin scraps. Currently, the cost of a full repair using chitin scraps if purchased from the Grand Exchange would be 780,000 coins.

Alternative methods of repair are listed below.

Together with the drygore mace and the drygore rapier, the drygore longsword is the second strongest melee weapon to be found in-game in terms of damage per second, outside Daemonheim. Upon death from a PvP activity, drygore weaponry will completely degrade before being dropped.

When received with CoinShare active, the Drygore longsword will be dropped as 120 drygore longsword shards split evenly among the players and sent directly to their banks. 120 shards can be combined to create this item.

Repair cost[edit | edit source]

This item costs at most 3,000,000 coins to repair completely. The repair cost is precisely calculated by the degradation percentage (i.e. with 75% charge remaining, a full repair would only cost 750,000 coins). It may be repaired through a variety of methods.

NPCs[edit source]

These methods cost more as they do not consider player's Smithing level for a repair discount.

Improved methods[edit source]

These methods provide a repair cost discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).

Dyed[edit | edit source]

The Drygore longsword can be recoloured with dyes from Treasure trails for purely cosmetic purposes. A warning message is given when attempting to dye a plain Drygore longsword.

Once the dye is applied, the Drygore longsword becomes permanently untradeable.
