Drinks are food items that are related to some sort of liquid that can come from a cup, tankard, beer glass, cocktail glass, or other container. Often the consumption of drinks will result in more than just healing Life Points, but will change your skill stats as well, either giving a bonus or a penalty. Although some drinks can heal life points, food is easier to obtain and heals more life points than drinks.

Normal ales[edit | edit source]

Some drinks in this list have a mature version, indicated by (m), which has stronger effects than the regular versions. All mature ales are members only, and are all obtainable only through brewing (except mature Dwarven stout and Ranger's aid). Mature ales also heal 30 life points more than the regular versions, except for Pigswill and Ranger's aid.

Brewing[edit | edit source]

Brewing can be done in two locations only: upstairs in The Laughing Miner Pub in Keldagrim and downstairs in The Green Ghost Inn in Port Phasmatys.

  1. Add two buckets of water to a fermenting vat.
  2. Add two lots of barley malt to the fermenting vat.
  3. Add the main ingredient of whatever drink you're making to the fermenting vat.
  4. Add a pot of ale yeast.
  5. Wait for several days, depending on what type of drink you are brewing.
  6. Turn the valve to let the liquid run into the barrel.
  7. Use a calquat keg or a beer glass on the barrel to empty the contents.

Alternatively, click the empty fermenting vat and brew according to the production dialogue, choosing the mature version if you want to use The Stuff.

Cocktails[edit | edit source]

Cocktails are part of Gnomish cuisine, primarily used for the Gnome Restaurant minigame. There are seven different types of cocktails players can make, and members only.. They are mixed in a Cocktail shaker and served in a Cocktail glass. There are also premade versions of the cocktails purchasable at Blurberry's Bar in the Grand Tree, though they cannot be used in the Gnome Restaurant minigame.

Beach Cocktails[edit | edit source]

Special cocktails were obtainable during the Summer Beach Party events in the summers of 2015, 2016, and 2017. They could not be made by players, and instead were obtained through doing skilling activities on the beach or killing Clawdia. The cocktails were stackable, and gave XP bonuses in increments of 2% up to 10% in skills according to whether they were Combat, Gathering, Artisan, or Support skills.

Construction level-boosting tea[edit | edit source]

Making a cup of tea requires level 20 cooking and gives the player 52 experience. The following constructs must be present in the kitchen: a stove, a larder, a shelf, and a sink.

  1. Remove a kettle, a teapot and one or more cups from the shelf.
  2. Remove one unit of tea leaves from the larder.
  3. Use the kettle on the sink to fill it with water.
  4. Use the full kettle of water on the range to bring it to a boil.
  5. Use the tea leaves on the teapot to fill the teapot.
  6. Remove the kettle from the range when the message "The kettle boils." is received.
  7. Use the hot kettle on the teapot with leaves to create four servings of tea. This is the only step that grants cooking experience.
  8. Use the pot of tea on a cup to pour a cup of tea.

Servants (the maid, cook, butler, and demon butler) will make tea for the player provided the kitchen has the required shelves and larder constructed.

  1. Get a cup of tea from the tea stall south of the east entrance to Varrock.
