Dragon bane longsword detail.png

A dragon bane longsword is a tier 79 main-handed melee weapon. It is a bane longsword + 4 that has been upgraded with a draconic visage. It requires level 80 attack to wield.

Making a dragon bane longsword requires a bane longsword + 4, 1 draconic visage, and 4,000 progress, granting a total of 4,000 experience. It can be augmented to an augmented dragon bane longsword.

While fighting dragons, the dragon bane longsword increases damage by 25%. It does not increase accuracy or hit chance.

This item degrades to a broken, repairable state over 50,000 charges of combat. The base repair cost is 800,000 coins for a full repair, which is scaled to how damaged it is. It can be repaired by a Repair NPC, or for cheaper on an armour stand/whetstone.

Repair cost[edit | edit source]

The base repair cost of the Dragon bane longsword when completely degraded to 0.0% item charge is 800,000 coins. It can be repaired by:

Alternatively, it can be repaired on an armour stand in a player-owned house or on a whetstone device anywhere. This provides a discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).

If it is only partially degraded the cost of a full repair is multiplied by the percentage of item charge that needs to be repaired to produce the current repair cost.
