- Falador Teleport or access to the corresponding lodestone
- Ardougne Teleport or access to the corresponding lodestone; optionally, the Ardougne cloak 1 or higher can be used to teleport to the nearby Ardougne Monastery
Talk to Doric, and he will tell you that Commander Montai has requested some armour for his troops on the Khazard Battlefield south of Ardougne. Accept the offer, and Doric will tell you to make 3 rune swords + 1 and 4 gnome platebodies. To make gnome platebodies, use standard steel platebodies on Doric's anvil. All Items need to be made on Doric's Anvil for the quest to recognise the items. If you want to make them on Doric's anvil, you'll need to use the steel bars on the anvil, as clicking the "smith" option on the anvil will only allow you to make the gnome armour at this time (however, right-clicking Doric's anvil and selecting "open smithing interface" will allow you to create normal items). You can also use one of the anvils in the basement if you have the bars in your metal bank. You don't have to make the steel platebodies yourself; they can be bought at Grand Exchange for 4,366 each (17,464 total), saving 20 steel bars.
Take the items to Commander Montai on the Gnome battlefield south of Ardougne. The commander is south of the bridge behind the gnome defences and is distinguished as the only gnome in the area wearing red armour. The closest teleports to this area are the Ardougne Monastery teleport via the Ardougne cloak 1 or higher, or the Spirit tree teleport to the Battlefield of Khazard. Upon handing over the armour, Commander Montai tells you that if Doric keeps them in stock with such high-quality armour, they will finally have the edge over the Khazard Army. You will then be rewarded.
