Dharok the Wretched's equipment is obtainable from Barrows. Dharok's armour requires level 70 Defence to wear, while the greataxe requires level 70 Attack and Strength to wield.

Set effect[edit | edit source]

Dharok's Might: Melee attacks have a chance of dealing additional damage based on the percentage of health the user has remaining. The damage scales linearly from half health to one hitpoint. An Amulet of the forsaken can be worn, making the effect scale from full health to one hitpoint. Every damaging ability has a 25% chance to activate Dharok's Might. Basic abilities can deal up to double damage, while threshold abilities deal up to 140%, and ultimate abilities 110-120% respectively.

Dharok's Might is always calculated on a player's base life points. This is equal to 100 times their constitution level, and is not affected by any buffs, such as bonfires or the Powerburst of vitality.

It is possible for players to damage themselves to take advantage of the set effect.

Repair[edit | edit source]

Barrows equipment degrades as it is used. Equipment received from the Barrows minigame is fully repaired and can be used for 100,000 charges of combat until it degrades completely and requires repair before it can be used again; it does not suffer in performance as it degrades from fully repaired to fully degraded. The remaining charges of Barrows equipment can be checked by right-clicking it and selecting 'check-charge'. Additionally, Barrows equipment may only be traded if fully repaired or fully degraded. Items lose 20% charge if reclaimed from a gravestone after dying.

There are two ways to repair Barrows armour. Players can talk to any of the NPCs listed below and they will repair the items for a price, or repair the pieces themselves using an armour stand in any player-owned house for a reduced cost based on their Smithing level. The equipment can be repaired at any stage, and the cost will be adjusted according to how much it has degraded. The repair costs below are as if the equipment has fully degraded.

The following NPCs can repair the armour:

Costs to repair
barrows equipment
NPC POH armour stand
Level 1 Smithing Level 99 Smithing
Helm 180,000 179,100 90,900
Body 270,000 268,650 136,350
Legs 240,000 238,800 121,200
Weapon 300,000 298,500 151,500
Total 990,000 985,050 499,950
The price is exactly 50% when operating a Smithing cape.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The armour received an update on 24 January 2012
  • For a while after the release of the Evolution of Combat, the set effects of Dharok's equipment could be stacked with the use of abilities. In addition, the set effect appeared to use its pre-EoC formula. This resulted in players being capable of hitting well over 4500 damage without a miss (even if the target did not have a weakness to slash or melee combat), which in turn created a large imbalance in armours and caused the set to go up to around 25 million coins (street price). This was changed on 11 December 2012, when the effect was reduced significantly, and no longer work on abilities.
    • Prior to the Evolution of Combat update, for every life point that was lost, the max hit appears to be 0.1% higher; when a player has 990 max life points and is reduced to 1, the set effect would deal close to double damage (98.9% higher).
