The Design an Emote Competition was a competition to design a new emote for the Solomon's General Store. Players could submit their idea either through a Vine video, a drawing, or a written description, and Jagex would pick their favourite 5 entries that could realistically be animated so the community could vote for the winning emote.[1] Jagex chose the five finalists on 18 February 2014.[2][3] The winning entry was by a player named JeysusChrist, whose design became Runescape through the Ages.[4]
