Death wing

Death wings are flying monsters that feature prominently in the Legends' Quest. Killing a death wing is one of the hard achievements in the Karamja achievements set. The death wings are in a remote area, and have virtually no drops, so very few players train on them.

They attack with melee against a player if they are initiating combat, but if the player attacks them first, they will only attack back with magic. The ectoplasmator will give a player 4.5 Prayer experience upon killing them.

Despite their bat-like appearance, they cannot be killed for bat Slayer tasks.

Death wings can only be found in the Kharazi Dungeon, which is unlocked during the Legends' Quest. To reach them, players should bring one or more lockpicks, a machete, any hatchet and a pickaxe (the tool belt can be used for all except the lockpick - unless the Master thief's lockpick has been added to the toolbelt). The dungeon can be found in the north-west of the Kharazi Jungle by searching the mossy rocks, after which the player should search the bookshelf north of Ungadulu and choose to squeeze through there, picklock the ancient door, mine the rocks and open another door to reach the Death wings. Death wings can also sometimes be found inside barrels in the dungeon.
