The cupid bow was a holiday item obtained by trading in 1,000 Valentine hearts on the Love side. Valentine Hearts could be obtained by skilling, combat, and the Squeal of Fortune from 14 February to 25 February 2013.

The cupid bow was also a possible reward by redeeming 225 rose petals obtainable via skilling, combat and Treasure Hunter during 12 February to 16 February 2015. In the 2017 event, this can be obtained from an event mystery box. It was also a possible reward from ancient relics during the Smashing Relics Treasure Hunter promotion.

It is weaker than a standard same level shortbow but stronger than a same level shieldbow (though without the armour bonus), so it's only redeeming quality is the special hearts effect when something is hit by it.
