# Cryptbloom armour/Fungal Shield analysis

A fungal shield is generated if the player falls below 20% of their maximum life points while wearing all 5 pieces of cryptbloom armour (provided it is not already on its 2 minute cooldown). The amount of life points stored in the shield, ${\displaystyle {\text{LP}}_{\text{Fungal Shield}}}$, takes on a random value in discrete steps based on the player's Defence level, ${\displaystyle {\text{L}}_{\text{Defence}}}$, and their Total Armour stat, ${\displaystyle {\text{A}}_{\text{Total}}}$. The possible values it can take on follows the following relation
${\displaystyle {\text{LP}}_{\text{Fungal Shield}}=\left\lfloor \left\lfloor 0.01\cdot {\text{L}}_{\text{Defence}}\cdot {\text{A}}_{\text{Total}}\right\rfloor +{\text{N}}\cdot (0.01)^{2}\cdot {\text{L}}_{\text{Defence}}\cdot {\text{A}}_{\text{Total}}\right\rfloor }$
where ${\displaystyle {\text{N}}}$ takes on a random integer between ${\displaystyle [-10,10]}$, giving one of 21 possible values.
