The cramulet is an amulet made by the player during Do No Evil by combining the monkeyspeak amulet and ghostspeak amulet. It allows the player to speak to the dead monkey during the quest, which otherwise is impossible as the player would need to wear both the monkeyspeak and ghostspeak amulets at the same time.
The cramulet can be inspected to list its constituent parts, dismantled into its separate amulets by a right-click option, and can also be re-assembled by using the monkeyspeak and ghostspeak amulets on one another.
To replace a lost cramulet, you must use a ghostspeak and monkeyspeak amulet on each other, or obtain a replacement from Father Urhney. You do not need to get any other amulet if you have completed the Animalingual achievement: combining just the ghostspeak and monkeyspeak ones will make a cramulet with all component amulets restored. Nevertheless, be careful not to lose the cramulet, as making the monkeyspeak amulet is time-consuming.
The following amulets may be added to the cramulet. Adding an amulet stores it in the cramulet and yields the message: Your cramulet absorbs the power of the [amulet]
^ abThe catspeak amulet and catspeak amulet (e) are mutually exclusive, though adding the enchanted version while the normal version is already in the cramulet will instead upgrade the amulet inside.
Storing all of the above amulets (with either catspeak amulet variant) at once completes the achievement Animalingual.
Before the update on 4 January2022 that introduced a single cramulet for all possible combinations, there were several separate items with different appearances depending on how many amulets were added to the cramulet. Additionally, amulets had to be added to the cramulet in a specific order, and it did not support adding the crocspeak amulet or the cabbagespeak amulet.
Previously, there were six different versions of the cramulet:
The update turned all the variants into a single amulet holding all the amulets stored in the player's old cramulets. This was notified with a login message: Your cramulet has been converted into a new item, and placed in your bank.
All 'of speak' Amulets can now be stored in your Keepsake inventory. Again, a copy will be created that gets destroyed when the original item is taken out of your Keepsake storage.
It's possible to make multiple cramulets by collecting each amulet individually. Dropping the ghostspeak at Father Urhney in the Lumbridge Swamp and saying that the amulet was lost will give you a 2nd amulet (or 3rd, and so on) The same goes with the camulet, and the monkeyspeak amulet. The catspeak amulet now works like the others. Dropping all cramulets and catspeak amulets will allow you to obtain a new one from the Sphinx and then pick the old ones up from the ground.
The cramulet retains all its camulet charges for teleportation. All camulets also keep their original charge.
Before their removal, there existed a glitch at the Rat Pitsminigame where the Cramulet, when upgraded with the catspeak amulet, did not allow the player to change their cat's strategy.
