The Cosmic accumulator is obtained by combining the Cosmic focus, a reward from the Desperate Measures Quest, with the Cosmic pyramid – a reward for turning in the Desperate for Artefacts collection, after completion of Desperate Measures. It requires at least level 90 Archaeology.
It has two passive effects when carried in the inventory during excavation:
- Prevents Sprite Focus from dropping below 20% when excavating without a time sprite in focus.
- Provides a 1% chance to activate, providing an additional 1% sprite focus gain for 60 seconds.
When it activates, the player will receive a game message: "The cosmic accumulator in your inventory starts vibrating, emitting energy. Whilst vibrating, your sprite focus gain is boosted."
Steps to obtain[edit | edit source]
Carry your archaeology gear and your best mattock, and at least 200 magic notepaper or sign of porter charges.
Navigate to the dragonkin ruins north-east of the Anachronia lodestone.
You'll have to use the agility course, head past the cave, and then walk east past the jadinkos to reach the ruins.
Enter the southern door of the ruins.
Discover and excavate the two hotspots, while using sign of porters or magic notepaper on the Orthenglass to free up inventory space.
You'll obtain the Ceremonial dragonkin device (damaged) and Ceremonial dragonkin tablet (damaged) artefacts.
Repair these at an Archaeologist's workbench to obtain the Ceremonial dragonkin device and Ceremonial dragonkin tablet.
Head to Anachronia, and hand in the restored artefacts to Giles at the home camp.
You'll obtain the Cosmic pyramid as a one-time reward.
Combine the Cosmic pyramid with the Cosmic focus to create the Cosmic accumulator.
You'll need to carry the Cosmic accumulator in your inventory during excavation for its effects to work.
