Corundum detail.png

Corundum is one of the Jewels of the Elid found in Menaphos. It can be obtained from mining corrupted crystals or looting chests in the Shifting Tombs, with a 1/750 drop rate.[1] Collecting all 16 gems grants the Jewelled Scarab pet and completes the Rock and Roll achievement.

Hint given in the journal: We don't condone ransacking tombs, but recent geological activity makes retrieving these more an act of preservation than looting.

Achievement[edit | edit source]

  • Rock and Roll (RuneScore.png 25) – Recover the Grand Library's collection of valuable and unique gemstones.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Corundum in real life is a mineral that can come in a variety of different colours; red varieties are called rubies and blue varieties are called sapphires.
  • Corundum was formerly known as Tuai Leit sparkle, introduced to the game on 10 October 2016, but was unused. It was re-purposed and renamed with the release of Menaphos.
