The combatant's cape is an expert skillcape that shows the wearer has achieved level 99 in multiple related skills. For the combatant's cape, these skills are: Attack, Constitution, Defence, Magic, Prayer, Ranged, Strength, and Summoning. These skills' corresponding Cape of Accomplishment each have a perk; the combatant's cape can hold up to two of those perks by consuming the respective skillcape. See the Perks section below for a list of the possible perks. The combatant's cape has the same stats as an ordinary skillcape, and is also capable of boosting its associated skills to level 100 for a short period of time.

To get the combatant's cape, players must train each of these skills beyond level 99. Once level 99 has been reached, a skill shard has a chance of dropping during each action that rewards experience. Only one shard will be found for each skill. Once each shard has been obtained, players can combine them to create a combatant's cape, and a matching cosmetic hood. The shards required to make the combatant's cape are the sharp, vital, rigid, imbued, holy, aerodynamic, strong, and summoned shards.

The combatant's cape can't be re-obtained from Diango if a keepsake key was used on it.

Combat stats[edit | edit source]

Perks[edit | edit source]

Up to two of the following perks may be added to the combatant's cape by using the respective skillcape on the combatant's cape, consuming the skillcape in the process. Once consumed, the skillcape cannot be retrieved; if the perks are switched and the cape is needed again, it must be purchased again for 99,000 coins from Elen Anterth's store in the Max Guild or the relevant NPC that sells it.

Attack cape.png Attack The cape's perk gives a 2% chance for degradable items not to degrade (this does not apply to augmented items, except those that degrade to dust). Passive
Constitution cape.png Constitution The cape's perk doubles base life point regeneration to 0.2% every 6 seconds, which heals during combat and stacks with Fortitude. It also makes bank healing auras work in combat. Passive
Defence cape.png Defence The cape's perk provides the effects of a sign of life/portent of life once an hour, and unlike them, it is not destroyed upon activation. It has a 1 hour cooldown, shared with the sign of life, portent of life, sign of death, and the portent of death. It cannot activate in PvP areas (except for Deathmatch) or during Broken Home (if placed on the skillcape stand). Passive
Magic cape.png Magic The cape's perk provides the ability to change your spellbook at banks, which is the same as an unlimited book switcher. Activate
Prayer cape.png Prayer The cape's perk provides the effect of having two lit incense burners without having to light them, when offering bones on an altar in a player-owned house, and also acts like a first age cape if the player owns one. Passive
Ranged cape.png Ranged The cape's perk increases the special effect chance of ranged ammunition by 20% of its current chance. Passive
Strength cape.png Strength The cape's perk causes Dismember's damage over time to last an extra 3.6 seconds (an extra 3 hits for a total of 8). Passive
Summoning cape.png Summoning The cape's perk provides a 2% chance to not consume a charm when infusing Summoning pouches, which stacks with spirit gems and the modified shaman's headdress. Passive
