Children can be found in the room just before battling Kay Thanxby during the Vengeance saga. Taevas' spirit shows The Forgotten Warrior the bodies to enrage her, but after Kay is defeated it is revealed that the children were actually figments of the warrior's imagination, or possibly images summoned by the spectre to trick her into acting more cruelly.
