The catalytic wand, a Tier 5 wand in Dungeoneering, can be found in the dungeons under Daemonheim, requiring 40 Magic to wield. Like all wands in Daemonheim, the catalytic wand provides all elemental runes when equipped.
This wand can be created by imbuing a Spinebeam wand, Bovistrangler wand, Thigat wand, Corpsethorn wand, Entgallow wand or a Grave creeper wand on a Runecrafting altar. Requiring 50 Runecrafting, giving 39.5 Runecrafting experience and 39.5 Magic experience.
Free players can only obtain this wand by receiving it as a drop from Astea Frostweb, as a starting item when entering a floor, or by imbuing a spinebeam wand on a runecrafting altar. To find and bind the wand, players only need to have 40+ Magic (same as the requirement of staff) and repeatedly enter and leave dungeons, at complexity 1 or 2 to flush the weapon out of starting kit in smuggler room.
