This talk page is for discussing the Calculator:Herblore/Overload variants page.

Looking at the calculator, I notice if you switch between having a 120 cape and not having one it doesn't affect the salve-specific potion ingredients (i.e. antifires, antipoisons etc.) Should some of these not also be being saved? Equation (talk) 21:04, 9 February 2020 (UTC)

120 cape should only affect overloads, supreme overloads and elder overloads: Herblore_master_cape#Perk Ikbenbeter (talk) 10:06, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

Grimy/Clean Herbs & Etc[edit source]

It would be cool if the calculator could incorporate herbs and other mats (like snape grass/limpwurt) the same way it does for potions already owned. Since the calculator offers us the path for "starting from grimy/clean" I think the calculator could benefit from that addition. My skillset isn't strong enough to make that kind of change. I didn't implement that as herbs needed is only dependent on herbs owned, ie the herbs you need to buy = the herbs required - the herbs you own. This is very easy to calculate at a glance, although I guess you could use that as an argument for adding it quickly too. I initially didn't add it because it adds clutter, but I'll add it when I have the time. Ikbenbeter (talk) 08:15, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

Brooch of the Gods[edit source]

With the introduction of Brooch of the Gods it might be worthwhile to update this and other relevant templates to include the increased portable effect chance. Drixxy (talk) 04:16, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

It already includes the Brooch. It's just that the option is hidden unless you use a portable well for obvious reasons. Ikbenbeter (talk) 08:35, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Question[edit source]

When I select to make 100 overloads, it tells me I need to make 120 of each of the extremes. Why would I need more extremes than the number of overloads I want to make? And since I have the scroll, portable well and brooch selected it should be less... Maybe I'm missing how this calculator is supposed to work, so I figured I would ask. Either way, thanks to whoever wrote it, it is very useful to know the ingredients. Kris626 (talk) 16:28, 20 December 2020 (UTC) And I'll answer my own question. The calculator assumes (correctly) that I want 100 4 dose overloads, which is why I need the higher number of 3 does extremes. :) Kris626 (talk) 16:37, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
