The prices are real-time market prices. For further information, or to update outdated prices, see Grand Exchange Market Watch/Smithing.

Calculators/Smithing is a calculator that aims to compute the profit (or loss) of smithing items (such as armour and weapons) of any metal.

Notes[edit source]

  • It is assumed that the bars are bought from the Grand Exchange and the smithed items are sold at the Grand Exchange
  • Actions that produce multiple items per bar are:
    • 50 dart tips or unfinished crossbow bolts, using alchemy will only alch 1 and will result in a loss
    • 75 nails or arrowheads, using alchemy will only alch 1 and will result in a loss
    • 25 throwing knives or throwing axes, using alchemy will only alch 1 and will result in a loss
  • Smithing dart tips requires the completion of The Tourist Trap quest
  • Smithing pickaxes requires the completion of Perils of Ice Mountain
  • Smithing hastas requires partial completion of Barbarian Training miniquest
  • Smithing items that are not base items will cost the twice the listed amount of bars when smithing from scratch. This effectively halves the price per bar ratio.
