However, the base damage is still capped at either 10,000, 12,000, 15,000, or 30,000 depending on the source. For example, if a player were to land a 20,000 hit with a 15,000 damage cap using either the Full Manual or Revolution Combat Mode, then the base damage done to the primary target is 15,000 but the damage used for the Split Soul calculation is the 20,000. In this example, assuming no other boosts or damage modifiers, the Split Soul damage from a 20,000 hit is 2,000. Therefore, the total damage to the target would be 15,000 + 2,000 = 17,000.

The value used in the Damage hitsplat box should be the uncapped value (in this case 20,000) to return the appropriate amount of Split Soul damage. param = target|Is the target a primary or a secondary target?|Primary|buttonselect|Primary,Secondary||Amount healed by Soul Split is halved on secondary targets. param = souls|Amulet of souls (or).png: RS3 Inventory image of Amulet of souls (or)Essence of Finality amulet (or).png: RS3 Inventory image of Essence of Finality amulet (or) Is the Amulet of souls/Essence of Finality amulet equipped?|Yes|check|Yes,No||The Amulet of souls and the Essence of Finality amulet provide an effective 18.75% damage increase to Split Soul due to their interaction with Soul Split. param = directSplitSoulDamageModifierGroup|Split Soul damage modifiers||group|vuln, slayerPerk, slayerAbility, spider param = vuln|Vulnerability icon.png Is Vulnernabilty applied?|No|check|Yes,No||Vulnerability directly affects the Split Soul damage. param = slayerPerk|Demon Slayer (perk).pngDragon Slayer (perk).pngUndead Slayer.png Is the Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer perk active?|No|check|Yes,No||The Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer perks directly affect the Split Soul damage. param = slayerAbility|Demon Slayer (ability).pngDragon Slayer (ability).pngUndead Slayer (ability).png Is the Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer ability active?|No|check|Yes,No||The Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer abilities directly affect the Split Soul damage. param = spider|NopeNopeNope status icon.png Is the NopeNopeNope perk active?|0%|buttonselect|0%,2%,3%||NopeNopeNope directly affects the Split Soul damage. param = addinfo|Display additional information?|No|check|Yes,No||Displays additional information about the Split Soul damage modifiers. Normally, the damage increase is 10% from Vulnerability, 7% from the Slayer perks, 15% from the Slayer abilities, and 2%/3% from the NopeNopeNope perk, however, because of the indirect and direct affect of Vulnerability on Split Soul, the increase is generally larger.

For example, assume the player is on the Full Manual or Revolution Combat Mode and that the target is the player's primary target. Take a base damage hitsplat of 1,000 damage without Vulnerability and without Amulet of souls. The Split Soul damage is 400. The total damage is 1,400. With Vulnerability, the base damage hitsplat is now 1,100 and the Split Soul damage is now 484. This gives a total damage of 1,584, a 13.14% increase in damage with Vulnerability compared to without it.

Damage caps are ignored for the base damage hitsplat.

Description

The purpose of this calculator is to calculate the average damage using the special attack of the Eldritch crossbow, Split Soul, for a given damage hitsplat.

Combat Mode

The amount Soul Split heals depends if the player is using the Full Manual/Revolution Combat Modes or the Legacy Combat Mode. As the Legacy Combat Mode cannot access abilities, the Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer abilities are not available.

Damage hitsplat

Amount of damage done from a single hitsplat before including the effect from the special attack. Split Soul works with any damage that allows Soul Split to heal the player. It does not have to be Ranged type damage.

This value is uncapped as it is the uncapped value that is used for the Split Soul calculation.

Apply damage cap to damage hitsplat?

The calculation for Split Soul uses the uncapped damage value. However, the base damage is still capped at either 10,000, 12,000, 15,000, or 30,000 depending on the source.

Is the target a primary target or a secondary target?

Due to the relation between the special attack and the amount healed by Soul Split, the damage dealt by Split Soul to a target depends on whether the target is a primary (or current) target or a secondary target.

Is the Amulet of souls/Essence of Finality amulet equipped?

If set to "Yes", this calculates the minimum increase in damage, the maximum increase in damage, and the average increase (effective 18.75%) in damage with the effect from the amulet. If set to "No", this calculates the increase in damage without the effect from the amulet. The Amulet of souls(or) and the Essence of Finality amulet(or) give this effect.

Is Vulnerability applied?

If checked, the damage from Split Soul has a x1.1 multiplier.

Is the Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer perk active?

If checked, the damage from Split Soul has a x1.07 multiplier.

Is the Demon/Dragon/Undead Slayer ability active?

If checked, the damage from Split Soul has a x1.15 multiplier.

Is the NopeNopeNope perk active?

If the NopeNopeNope perk is active from player-owned farms, the damage from Split Soul has a x1.02 or x1.03 multiplier.

Display additional information?

If checked, an additional column is displayed showing the value of the percentage increase from a combination of Vulnerability, Slayer perks, and Slayer abilities. These provide both an indirect and a direct affect to the damage of Split Soul. The following applies to Vulnerability (normally a 10% damage increase), but is identical for the Slayer perks (normally a 7% damage increase), the Slayer abilities (normally a 15% damage increase), and the NopeNopeNope perk (normally a 2%/3% damage increase).

First, Vulnerability increases the base damage hitsplat by 10%. This increase in the base damage hitsplat is an indirect damage increase to the Split Soul damage. Secondly, because the target is affected by Vulnerability, Split Soul is directly affected by Vulnerability, increasing the damage of Split Soul by 10%. For most base damage hitsplats, this total increase from Vulnerability is over 10%. As the values increase, the increase tends to drop level off, taking on values just over 10%.

Another example, take a base damage hitsplat of 5,000 damage also without Vulnerability and without Amulet of souls. The Split Soul damage is 1,482. The total damage is 6,482. With Vulnerability, the base damage hitsplat is now 5,500 and the Split Soul damage is now 1,399. This gives a total damage of 6,899, an increase of 10.42%. Though smaller than the above example, it is still larger than 10%.

Damage caps are ignored for the base damage hitsplat as Split Soul uses the uncapped value for the calculation.
