A cactus spine is a cactus product harvested from a cactus planted in a cactus patch, requiring level 55 Farming. Three can be harvested from a cactus patch at a time.

Cactus spines are required for making weapon poison+ (unf) potions at level 73 Herblore.

Farmers will watch over a planted yew seed in exchange for ten cactus spines.

Farming[edit | edit source]

Cactus spines can be harvested from a cactus grown within a cactus patch. A fully grown cactus can grow up to three cactus spines at a time. Each cactus spine, when picked, gives 25 Farming experience. Once all three cactus spines have been picked, the cactus will slowly produce more cactus spines. However, the cactus spine may be picked individually provided that at least one appears on the cactus.

The yield of cactus spines increases from 3 to 6 with the completion of the hard Desert achievements
