The Burthorpe Slayer Cave is a small dungeon located northeast of Taverley in Asgarnia. It contains several types of monsters that players can fight.

Getting there[edit | edit source]

Dungeon entrance

Players can enter the dungeon through the cave entrance located in Eastern Taverley, immediately south of Ewean's Grove.

Subterranean spring[edit | edit source]

At the southern end of the cave is a Subterranean spring with a "Collect water" option. This is used during the Druidic Ritual quest, when players can get Living water from the spring.

Attempting to collect water before or after this quest, however, yields the message "You don't have any use for this water."

  • patch 17 May 2021 (Update):
    • Corrected a situation which could lead to players becoming stuck in the Gelatinous Abomination Cave in the Burthorpe tutorial.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • During the now removed Troll Warzone tutorial, it was revealed that the gelatinous abominations were created by a troll shaman Lieutenant named Magic Stick. Players could defeat Magic Stick with the help of Ariane, who was investigating the new threat to Taverley. When entering the dungeon for the first time, she stops players from going further unless the player says they will investigate the situation with her. If players started but did not finish the fight against Magic Stick, when they leave the dungeon and return, they will be taken straight to the final chamber where the troll resides.
  • It is referred to as Burthorpe Slayer Cave despite its only entrance being in Taverley.
