Bulbous crawlers are high-level Slayer monsters requiring level 106 Slayer to kill. They are found in north-west part of the Lost Grove.

Strategy

These monsters use highly damaging ranged attacks, so it is recommended to use Protect/Deflect Missiles.

After every 6 auto attacks they gather energy from the surrounding area which draws itself towards the creature. When it reaches the creature it will release a poison cloud dealing up to 3,000 damage in the nearby area and healing itself 2,000 life points in the process. This attack can be avoided by running 5 squares away or forcing the crawler to move by standing under it. The attack can also be blocked and healed in full from a well-timed Resonance; Surge or Escape can also be used to move away but won't work every time as the monster won't move from the spot so it's not recommended to use those.

Note: If a summoning familiar attacks the Bulbous Crawler, it will become aggressive to it and easily kill it. Its recommended to use "provoke" ability or/and bring more summoning familiar pouches to summon it back.

Recommendations: As Bulbous Crawlers are not immune to poison, its recommended to bring incense kwuarm sticks, Weapon poison (+++), Cinderbane Gloves. Also it is recommended to bring summoning potions and summoning familiar scrolls to increase the kills per hour.

  • Abyssal lords, vyrelords, and Lost Grove creatures will have their herb drops reduced.

• ninja 28 June 2021 (Update):
  • Torn Grimoire Pages have been added to the loot table of Lost Grove Slayer creatures.
    • The chance to receive pages is increased while on a Slayer Task.

• patch 14 May 2018 (Update):
  • In preparation for Solak's release at the end of the month, blight bolts have been added to the drop tables of the Lost Grove creatures. Blight bolts will be the ammo used in the new tier 92 blightbound crossbow.
