Brawling gloves (WC) detail.png

Brawling gloves (WC) (also known as Woodcutting brawling gloves) are obtained as a rare drop from Revenants, the Wilderness shared loot table, the Chaos Elemental, as a drop from the Rare drop table or by pickpocketing Crwys workers in Prifddinas.

When wielded, 50% XP boost is given at the entrance or outside of the Wilderness, with the buff increasing to 300% (4x the experience) at level 47 Wilderness just south of the fence. Most XP modifiers stack multiplicatively with the gloves (i.e. Clan avatars gives up to 106% XP and Brawling gloves are 400% XP, for a total 424% XP). The gloves do not work during Double XP weekends or with the Enlightenment aura.

The gloves last for approximately 832 logs cut, or half of that with a Sacred clay hatchet and will disintegrate afterwards.

All brawling gloves provide no Attack or defensive bonuses whatsoever.

275 Crystallise x1.875 1,579,395.7 (3,158,791.4 with bonus XP) -1,690,519
Significantly longer real time to use the gloves, due to only logs outside of the Spirit realm counting for full bonus. Players have to chop inside the spirit realm to break the tree, teleport outside, wield brawling gloves and skillchompa, use Crystallise on the tree, and chop again. Players then return to the Spirit realm to revive the tree.

Chop golden bamboo on the uncharted isles of the Arc. Bring Decorated woodcutting urns and an urn enhancer to maximise experience gained. Signs of the porter can be used if not using a Dwarven chainaxe. As it will require 9 golden bamboo hotspots to use one pair of brawlers, players will need to travel to several different islands to use one pair of brawlers (it is recommended to have at least a few hundred supplies). Alternatively, players may revisit their claimed isle to use the brawlers over several days.

Update history[edit | edit source]

The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
  • ninja 27 May 2014 (Update):
    • Spirit gems, Treasure Hunter keys, brawling gloves and warpriest gear will now all show loot beams when dropped. Spirit gems and treasure hunter keys can be filtered out by setting your loot beam minimum value to over 50,000.

Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Placing a divine location (tree) in the Wilderness whilst wearing the gloves can give a great amount of experience in a short time. As the gloves disintegrate after a certain amount of logs and not experience it is advised to place the highest level tree you can chop.
