FAQ • doc |
Brawling gloves (Fishing) (also known as Fishing brawling gloves) are obtained as a rare drop from Revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon, the Wilderness shared loot table, the Chaos Elemental, as a drop from the Rare drop table or by pickpocketing Meilyr workers in Prifddinas.
When wielded, 50% XP boost is given at the entrance or outside of the Wilderness, with the buff increasing to 300% (4x the experience) at level 47 Wilderness just south of the fence. Most XP modifiers stack multiplicatively with the gloves (i.e. Clan avatars gives up to 106% XP and Brawling gloves are 400% XP, for a total 424% XP). The gloves do not work during Double XP weekends or with the Enlightenment aura.
Using a sign of porter is also advised if fishing as this allows for extended profitable trips without banking. As an alternative, bringing a Bunyip (level 68 Summoning) will allow players to turn fish used on the Bunyip into water runes, providing profit without having to bank.
The gloves last for 442 fish caught. You can check the charges left (as a percentage) by right clicking the brawlers and selecting "check charges".

Use[edit | edit source]
- (
) means the location is in the Wilderness.
- (
) means the bonus XP estimate equals or is less than the x2 XP gained using the Dwarven tools.
- When referenced, the Four-leaf clover necklace works the same as its alternatives, including the Shiny four-leaf clover necklace, Sparkling four-leaf clover necklace, and Dazzling four-leaf clover necklace.
- Total XP below is an estimate, not exact.
- Contrary to popular belief, the use of Skillchompas negatively impact the XP gained from Brawling gloves, since they also lose a charge on the small XP drops.
- As Fishing brawlers have a limited amount of of charges and dwarven fish extractors are relatively easy to obtain, it is highly recommended to use the brawling gloves only while using the dwarven fish extractor as the total XP gained from the brawling gloves will be significantly better.

Bring Decorated fishing urns and an urn enhancer to maximise experience gained. Signs of the porter can be used if not using a Dwarven fish extractor. As it will require 4 wobbegong hotspots to use one pair of brawlers, players will need to travel to several different islands to use one pair of brawlers (it is recommended to have at least a few hundred supplies). Alternatively, players may revisit their claimed isle to use the brawlers over several days. With a fish extractor, this method is superior to the divine location methods listed above. Skillchompas do not work if using a fish extractor. |
