Bounty emblems are items earned in Slayer Bounties. If no emblem is owned, when a bounty is completed, a tier 1 emblem is awarded; tier 1 emblems can also be bought for 50 Slayer Bounty points from the Slayer Bounty & Deathmatch Reward Shop. Each bounty completed while holding an emblem for the entire task grants 100 potential to the emblem. When the emblem has enough potential, it upgrades to the next tier. You can check how much potential you need to upgrade by right clicking the emblem in your inventory. Emblems can be turned in for Slayer Bounty points or Deathmatch points, each tier granting increasingly more points than the previous. The amount of Deathmatch points received is equal to 1/10th of the amount of Slayer Bounty points it would give.

If a player dies while carrying an emblem, it will downgrade a tier. If the killer was another player who is also carrying an emblem, the killer gains half of the potential of the original emblem's tier - e.g., if a player was carrying a tier 6 emblem, when killed they will then have a tier 5 emblem, and the killer gains 450 potential (as tier 5 to tier 6 takes 900 potential). Ironmen are unable to gain potential by killing other players (but they can have emblems downgraded by dying).

It is generally better to buy a new emblem with Slayer Bounty points, as the one task it takes to earn a tier 1 emblem is worth more than 50 points once the emblem is tier 7 or higher.
