A blood necklace is a somewhat rare drop from an Edimmu, the level 90 Slayer monster in Daemonheim. It is also possible to receive the necklace by consuming a trading leech card from the Gorajo hoardstalker.
Its special ability activates every 15 seconds and damages monsters in combat for 200 to 500 life points, while healing the wearer for the same amount. It can hit multiple targets at the same time, allowing for a stacked healing effect up to 1200 life points. If the necklace was intended to do more damage than its target had left (e.g. the target had 240 life points, and the necklace rolled to hit a 500), then the necklace will still heal the full amount to its wearer.
It is one of two items currently available within Daemonheim that is worn in the necklace slot, the other being the Seeker's charm. In practice, its special is an effective way to partially reduce food consumption and to deal slightly more damage to piles of opponents.
The monsters hit by the special is the monster last hit by the player, or the monster that last hit the player, whichever occurred first when the effect triggers. All monsters adjacent to the targeted monster are also hit, with the wearer healing from all damage done, up to 1200 life points. This can hit monsters at range.
If a player is wearing a shadow silk hood, an activated necklace special will not cause humanoids to become aggressive to the player – the Mysterious mage sealing Yk'Lagor the Thunderous will not attack the player when hurt by the necklace's lifesteal either. This can be beneficial for those with lower combat stats who wish to dispatch enemies without the risk of entering combat.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Before 10 November 2014, the blood necklace always healed 300 life points every 15 seconds and only worked for adjacent monsters.
