Blast diffusion boots are tier 80 magic power boots dropped by vile blooms and Raksha on Anachronia.
They provide the same armour and magic bonuses as Virtus boots, but blast diffusion boots are also capable of shortening the charge time on Detonate. Though the boots' examine states that it cuts the time in half (turning it from 3.6 to 1.8 seconds), the boots simply double the charge gain from 20% to 40%, which in turn causes Detonate to be at maximum potential in 2.4 seconds (33.33% faster than normal). Despite this, the boots allow for Detonate to be used in damage rotations due to the shortened time, as it works best when at full charge.
This item degrades to a broken, repairable state over 60,000 charges of combat. The base repair cost is 500,000 coins for a full repair, which is scaled to how damaged it is. It can be repaired by a Repair NPC, or for cheaper on an armour stand/whetstone.
Blast diffusion boots can be upgraded to enhanced blast diffusion boots by attaching a shadow spike. This increases the bonuses to tier 90 and retains their special effect, but renders them permanently untradeable.

Repair cost[edit | edit source]
The base repair cost of the Blast diffusion boots when completely degraded to 0.0% item charge is 500,000 coins. It can be repaired by:
- Bob - the axe seller in Lumbridge
- Tindel Marchant - the weapon and armour repairman at Port Khazard
- Dunstan - the smith in Burthorpe
- Squire - in the workshop area of the Void Knights' Outpost
Alternatively, it can be repaired on an armour stand in a player-owned house or on a whetstone device anywhere. This provides a discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
If it is only partially degraded the cost of a full repair is multiplied by the percentage of item charge that needs to be repaired to produce the current repair cost.
