A black helm (h5) is a heraldic version of a black helm. It is a possible reward from opening an easy reward casket as part of the Treasure Trails Distraction and Diversion. It has the same stats as its non-heraldic counterpart, as well as the same requirements to equip. Thus, it is purely a cosmetic variant.

Heraldic armour cannot be made with the Smithing skill, nor can it be decorated by any players.

Together with black platebody (h5), either black platelegs (h5) or black plateskirt (h5), and black shield (h5) it can be stored in a treasure chest of a costume room in a player-owned house where the set is categorised as an easy-level set.
