Barry features in the Slime is of the Essence Treasure Hunter promotional event that is set in Rimmington. He could usually be found in close proximity to Paul.

On the second and fourth day of the event, Barry and Paul disappeared. On the third day of the event, Barry and Paul inspected the explosives being made. For the fifth, they returned with an idea to move King Slime to another location with a magical rift.

Trivia

• Barry and Paul are a reference to the Chuckle Brothers. The dialogue the player says to Barry after the event finished serves as a homage to Barry Elliot, who died on 5 August 2018.
