Bait and Switch

Bait and Switch is a relic power that players can harness at the mysterious monolith. Once harnessed, fish that have a cooked variant caught via the Fishing skill will be automatically cooked upon being caught. This includes fish caught within Daemonheim with the exception of the vile fish. This does not apply to fish that are caught from divine locations. Players receive 50% of the fish's Cooking experience, regardless of Cooking level, along with any active buffs that may apply. The Cooking experience gained from this relic does not fill cooking urns, volatile effigies, or explosive effigies.

If used with an equipped sign of the porter the porter will activate and transport the fish to the bank after it has been cooked, despite cooked fish not normally being an item they can transport.

Bait and Switch requires level 99 Archaeology and 2,000 chronotes to activate. It uses 100 monolith energy.

The relic power works while using the shark outfits' "consume all" option, allowing additional Cooking experience to be gained. However, the fish is still consumed.

Obtaining[edit | edit source]

Players can obtain it by offering Bob the cat a death mask. Players must be able to understand him, and thus must wear a catspeak amulet, a catspeak amulet (e), or a cramulet. Bob will give the player Evil Bob's Catspaw, which can be handed in at the mysterious monolith to unlock the relic power.

If a player wishes to find Bob quickly but does not own the enchanted catspeak amulet, they could ask a friend who does.
