Auriculus is the brother of Ocellus, and along with his brother he was the pet Virius of Zaros in the Second Age. He is mentioned by Zaros during or after Fate of the Gods, and appears in Kharshai's memory during Children of Mah, standing guard over Zaros' throne with his brother.
Auriculus's skull is later mounted as decoration on a sacrificial altar by the Order of Dis cultists.
The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
- 'Auriculus' is the diminutive form of ear (auris) in Latin, and 'Ocellus' the diminutive of eye (oculus).
- ^ Zaros, "Fate of the Gods", RuneScape. "I once had a pet virius named Ocellus. He and his brother, Auriculus, stood vigil beside my throne, even when it sat empty."
- ^ Founder's journal page 4, written by Philippa Wharton, page 2, RuneScape. "There is one trophy in particular I wish to show him when he does - the head of Auriculus. It hangs in a place of pride above the altar below."
