It is created by speaking to Elof while wearing augmented trimmed masterwork platelegs, or by augmenting a set of custom-fit platelegs at an invention workbench. This process makes the item permanently untradeable, and does not require level 99 Smithing, nor does it require the achievement It Should Have Been Called Aetherium.
Armour gizmos charged with perks can be used to enhance the armour's abilities. As a leg slot item, it can hold 2 gizmos, allowing up to 4 perks (2 on each).
The Augmented Custom-fit Trimmed Masterwork Platelegs only uses the normal equipment degradation mechanic and not the invention charge drain system. It has 200,000 charges of combat, and will degrade to a broken, unusable state. It can be fully repaired at any time at an anvil using a new, untrimmed masterwork variant of the same item plus 32 divine charges. If the armour is fully depleted, it can also be repaired from the inventory.
Custom-fit trimmed masterwork armour is meant to never degrade or lose a charge when hit by a current target of a slayer assignment or Soul Reaper task, or within an elite dungeon. Outside of this, it lasts for 200,000 charges, twice as long as trimmed masterwork armour.
The item can be trained and siphoned as normal while it has charges. Once it runs out of charges, it will retain its equipment bonuses until it reaches equipment level 10, where it will become unusable and has to be recharged or be disassembled.
Unlike normal augmented items, this item is made at an Inventor's workbench from the unaugmented item, an augmentor, and 36 divine charges. It can be made from a partially used component. Augmentation dissolvers cannot be used on this item.
It can be cosmetically altered into the spiked version by taking it and a glorious bar to Elof; this is purely cosmetic and it retains all degradation charges and other mechanics. It can be freely reverted back to the non-spiked version by Elof at any time.

Item effect[edit | edit source]
When 3, 4, and 5 pieces of the set are worn, incoming damage dealt to the player is reduced by 30, 40, and 50%, respectively. The remaining damage is applied as a bleed that hits 5 times, dealing 20% of the stored damage per hit every 2 ticks until the stored damage depletes. For example, if a player wears the entire set and receives what would be a hit of 4000, the set would reduce the initial hit to 2000 damage and then a bleed would apply for 400 damage 5 times for the next six ticks, assuming that they do not take any damage for the remainder of the bleed. In this case, the damage increases accordingly along with the duration of the bleed.
The set effect allows players to easily Soul Split and prayer flick at the same time, as the reduced damage allows players to survive a potentially fatal hit and quicker reaction time to recover health while taking the bleed damage.
Bleed works with:
- Leviathan ring
- Warpriest of Saradomin armour
- Obsidian equipment
- Phoenix necklace
- Crystal Shield
- Paused by dialogue boxes or teleporting
- Reprisal and Transfigure
- Blood essence
- Kalphite King green attack, Vorago drop, Helwyr mushroom bleed
- Twin Furies fire
- Upon death all damage stacks are cleared.
Bleed does not work with:
