Archaeology tutorial

The Archaeology tutorial is a short walk-through of the Archaeology skill, which gives players the basics required to train the skill, and introduces some of the more advanced concepts used later. This Tutorial can be started by speaking with Acting Guildmaster Reiniger east of the Archaeology Guild, near the dock.

• patch 9 August 2021 (Update):
  • Archaeology tutorial
    • The Archaeology Path will now progress as expected.
    • The 'Breaking the Seal' Archaeology mystery achievement is now free-to-play.
      • Removed the Assistant, Associate, Professor and Guildmaster qualification achievements from the Archaeology Path.
      • The path now completes upon breaking the seal and entering Kharid-et.
    • The Qualification - Intern hint trail now leads to Acting Guildmaster Reiniger instead of the entrance to the Archaeology Guild.
    • The Archaeology Path hint trail is now suppressed when following the Archaeology tutorial, which has its own trail.

• patch 5 October 2020 (Update):
  • Fixed a minor typo in Velucia's dialogue during the Archaeology tutorial.

• update 6 April 2020 (Update):
  • Starting today, each and every RuneScape stream watched has the possibility of giving you a Small (250 Archaeology XP) or Large (500 Archaeology XP) Twitching Tome
    • You won't be able to use the Twitching Tomes before completing the Archaeology tutorial. We wouldn't want any of you coming in fresh and having that thing explode in your hands because the Archaeology Guild hasn't given you the proper training. No no.
