The Archaeology Guild is located in the Varrock Dig Site. Unlike most guilds, the Archaeology Guild requires no level requirements to enter, but most of its facilities require completion of the Archaeology tutorial to utilise.
The Archaeology journal can be used to teleport there, which is provided during the tutorial.
Features[edit | edit source]
Main Building[edit | edit source]
Ground Floor[edit | edit source]
The main building contains Acting Guildmaster Reiniger, Matty Ock and Ezreal. Reiniger serves as the current Guildmaster following Tony's disappearance, and players can check in on their qualifications with her to advance to the next level in the guild. Following the ceremony, players may ask for additional rewards from Reiniger.
Matty Ock sells mattocks to the player, up to rune.
Next to Reiniger is a desk with an archaeological map, which may be interacted with to bring players to the dig site of their choice provided that they have the Archaeology level to access it. The desk right next to it contains two cups of tea for players to take.
Upper Floor[edit | edit source]
The upper floor is where Guildmaster Tony oversaw his works. The upper floor contains three empty picture frames, which may be mounted with replica photos from completing Art Critic Jacques' collections and 'The God Wars' (painting) after all of his collections are complete.
Tony's desk can be found in the upper floor, where players may copy text from complete tomes in return for Archaeology experience.
Guildmaster Tony's mattock is found near the desk, in a locked case. To open this case, players must have a distorted or shadowy key in their possession, both of which are obtained from an ancient casket.
Screening Station[edit | edit source]
In the eastern area of the guild is the only screening station in-game. Players may sift any soils they find from digsites here to obtain Archaeology experience, materials and damaged artefacts.
Compared to the Auto-screener v1.080, the screening station's primary advantage is that soils put inside regardless of where it was obtained will yield any material from that dig site area according to the player's Archaeology level, while the auto-screener only spits out materials from the site being excavated at.
Research Teams[edit | edit source]
In the south-eastern area of the guild is where players may send out research teams to explore unique features at the dig sites. In order to use this facility, players must have the Assistant qualification.
Mysterious Monolith[edit | edit source]
Players may bring relics here and channel their powers for their own personal use here. If the relic is lost, Easty will replace it for them.
Velucia[edit | edit source]
Right outside the main building is Velucia, a representative of the Museum of Varrock. She will exchange artefacts for chronotes, with full completions yielding more chronotes compared to other collectors, although she doesn't offer any other rewards.
Restoration & Donation[edit | edit source]
Near the two is a museum guard with a cart where players may donate excess restored artefacts for 40% of the chronote value a collector would have offered them instead.
