The arcane capacitor amulet (u) was obtained from the Livid Farm for 18,000 produce points. The player could only possess one at a time, and it degraded to dust after 1,000 uses.
The amulet could be charged with the runes for 1,000 casts of a spell from the list below (elemental staves could not be used). This created an arcane capacitor (c). Once charged, the only way to remove the charges was either by using them or by selecting the "Remove-charge" option. The amulet would then be destroyed, although any unused runes were refunded.
Assuming the maximum activities per cycle at Livid Farm, and the use of a mud staff, the cost of runes at Grand Exchange price for the needed 18,000 points was 626,856 coins.
Other alternatives to Borrowed Power already existed, such as Spellbook Swap which has a slightly lower Magic requirement of 96, does not require any Produce Points in order to be used, and is not restricted to a selected amount of spells like Borrowed Power.
