Ancient Gnomish[1][2] was the language spoken by the gnomes before they adopted the common tongue as a standard language.[3] While some gnomes such as the gnome child and Azalea Oakheart include some words or brief sentences of Ancient Gnomish in their speech, the only known person to speak exclusively in Ancient Gnomish was Hazelmere.[4]
