The ambush scroll enables the use of the Ambush special move for the Spirit kyatt familiar. Ambush scrolls are made by using Spirit kyatt pouches on a Summoning obelisk, providing 0.1 Summoning experience and 10 Ambush scrolls. If the Voice of Seren is active in the Amlodd District in Prifddinas, using the Prifddinas obelisk will give 12 scrolls per pouch.

A maximum of 500 scrolls can be used on a spirit kyatt familiar to both store the scrolls and allow the familiar to automatically use the scrolls. They can be obtained again by clicking "Take BoB" in the summoning interface. Enchanted headgear used to have similar effect although this has since been removed from the game.

Ambush[edit | edit source]

A player activating the scroll

Ambush is the special move of the spirit kyatt. When activated, the spirit kyatt teleports to the player and performs an instant attack on their target with a chance to deal triple damage. Although the spirit kyatt does attack 'instantly' when a scroll is used, the familiar spends one game tick moving about after the attack and another scroll cannot be used in this time.

According to Monster Examine, the max hit of the spirit kyatt's normal attack is 748. Therefore, the theoretical maximum hit of the special attack is 748×3, or 2244. This familiar is popular with low level player killers as it is possible to kill people in only a few hits. Ambush can be used for very quick hits against large monsters such as the Pest Queen and Nomad, but it is slower against smaller targets such as players, as the spirit kyatt must reposition itself.
