Ali Tist is a conman selling unsolvable puzzle boxes in Falador, south of the eastern bank. They are full of goo from a captured void leech, and are being distributed as part of a plot by the Kinshra to take over Falador. He sold boxes to a man and woman, who struggled to open the boxes and gradually grew sick from the goo. He arrives in Falador after a void leech got to the mainland.
Ali has no idea what the boxes contain. He only sells them as he was being paid by the Kinshra, and only knows they cannot be opened. After the player obtains the mysterious clue scroll, Ali becomes ill, affected by his own wares. Once the Black Knight Workshop is found, he departs.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- When asked why you would want a box, he responds with "Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance..." This is a reference to the movie "Aladdin."
- He was one of the first characters to receive updated facial features.
- His name is a play on the word elitist.
- When first trying to use the box, you say "What is this, I don't even!", a expression of surprise used in many Internet-based forums and communities.
