An abyssal head is a very rare drop from Abyssal demons, which require level 85 Slayer to kill. It can be mounted in player-owned houses in the Skill Hall at level 58 Construction, or turned into an abyssal minion pet. Both methods are one-time uses and the head cannot be reclaimed.
If players wish to have the abyssal demon head mounted, it must be taken to the Taxidermist in Canifis. She will charge 12,000 coins and take the abyssal demon head away, giving them a stuffed abyssal demon head. They can then mount it in their player-owned house using 2 mahogany planks.
After Ritual of the Mahjarrat, it can be used to tune bane ore to create Abyssalbane ore, which is effective against abyssal demons.
If players wish to make an abyssal minion, they must take it, either stuffed or unstuffed, to either Nomad, Zimberfizz, Zimberfizz ashes, or Zanik at Soul Wars along with 85 zeal to create the abyssal minion, or pay 1020 thaler to Stanley Limelight. Both actions will destroy the head. When dropped, the pet will follow the player like all pets. The pet can be added to a player's menagerie. The abyssal minion can be fed ashes.
